Apple Crisps

Nothing says fall like a warm, comforting apple crisp. This recipe is a classic, and it’s easy to customize to your taste preferences. Plus, it’s a great way to use up any apples that are past their prime.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced and peeled apples (we recommend using a mix of Honeycrisp,
  • Granny Smith, and Jonathan apples)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or your hands until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Add the sliced apples to an 8×8 inch baking dish and sprinkle the crumb mixture over the top.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate fall dessert.

Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars

If you’re looking for something a little more indulgent, these caramel apple cheesecake bars are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. They’re rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors.

Ingredients for the crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Ingredients for the filling

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped apples (we recommend using Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped apples.
  7. Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the filling.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set.
  10. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.

Apple Cider Donuts

If you’re in the mood for something a little more portable, these apple cider donuts are the perfect fall treat. They’re fluffy, moist, and bursting with apple flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup apple cider
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Cinnamon sugar, for coating

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the apple cider, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F.
  5. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, turning occasionally, for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the donuts to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. While still warm, roll the donuts in cinnamon sugar to coat.
  8. Serve warm with a hot cup of apple cider for the ultimate fall treat.
